๐ Our Latest Event Recap: Your Journey to a Job
Our wonderful cohort at โYour Offerโ!
That brings to an end "Your Journey to a Job in Australia" program, Stint's comprehensive career program for international students in Melbourne ๐
Thank you everyone for attending our last workshop 'Your Offer' and to our panellists Pearl Li Ng GAICD (City of Casey), Joy Horng (Cleanaway Waste Management) and Hui Hong Koh (Karia)!
This workshop featured a panel of international student alumni discussing the post-offer process, from understanding your compensation package, tax and superannuation, to adjusting to Australian working culture, negotiating your salary, and bringing up sponsorship (later down the line)!
To summarise the program, here is one final tip from each of the workshops:
1. Your Options ๐ค - try out different things at university and explore anything youโre curious about and interested in!
2. Your Application โ๏ธ - get different people to have a look at it and give constructive criticism.
3. Your Interview ๐ฃ - practise, practise and more practise!
4. Your Presence (LinkedIn) ๐๏ธ - connect with and build relationships with people who are working in the role/industry that youโre interested in (both international and non-international students alumni!)
5. Your Visa ๐๏ธ - make sure you understand the relevant visa and requirements that are related to your career path.
6. Your Offer ๐ผ - make sure you understand every component of your total compensation package.
Good luck to all the students who participated in the program - they will be receiving certificates (and hopefully job offers soon)!
Weโve heard one of the participants already received 2 internship offers ๐
๐ก The Key to De-stressing During SWOTVAC

Donโt miss out, itโs up on our website now!
The transition from the final week of semester to SWOTVAC is always the strangest. With exams right around the corner, we feel obliged to spend every minute preparing for the final stretch of the semester and spare no time to celebrate how far weโve come.
This blog is here to remind you that sparing some time to destress and reflect is just as important as studying. If youโre still unsure of ways to destress (especially in this economy), look no further because Ailene has compiled six ways to destress without breaking your bank!
